Marilyn Monroe

I've always loved Marilyn Monroe. At first it was her dominating looks and it gradually became about her acting style and much more. She is one of my biggest inspirations for everything. I love her look and her style as well as her quirkiness and controversy surrounding her.

The first movie I had ever seen was Seven Year Itch with the famous dress blowing scene. I know the scene off by heart and sometimes, it's a bit of a guilty pleasure knowing it. I thought she was even more dynamic and powerful in motion than she was in pictures.

I also love it when she sings. My favourite song is "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" but I don't like hearing anybody else singing it. Towards the end of "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", Jane Russell sings it, and it just isn't the same. In the movie Moulin Rouge, Nicole Kidman sings it, and I just never could get into that movie after I heard that.

My favourite quote from Marilyn is the following: "It's not true that I had nothing on. I had the radio on," (She was referring to the time she posed for Playboy).

I usually get offended when people make fun of or creates theories about her death. I'd like to believe in the conspiracy theories rather than the suicide angle, but I'd rather just remember how awesome she was.

She is truly an icon that will probably never go away completely.

Ginger Rogers

I first saw Ginger Rogers (and fell in love with her acting, as well as fashion style) in the movie "The Gay Divorcee" (alongside Fred Astaire - who is also amazing). What I loved was how she was such a great counterpart to Fred Astaire. I realized I had a new favourite actress during the dance sequence to the song "Night and Day" sung by Fred Astaire.

I loved her dress and they way her dancing complimented Fred Astaire's. the chemistry between the two was amazing and I no longer wondered why they had done so many movies with one another.

To this date, I've seen four out of the nine movies Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers have been in together and have loved each and every one. My favourite would have to be "Shall We Dance" because it reminded me of celebrities today and how everything they do ends up in the tabloids or in the news, etc.

The one movie I want to see more than any would have to be "Top Hat" to see the famous "Cheek to Cheek" sequence. I've wanted to see that movie ever since I first saw The Green Mile.

Elvis Presley

I have 2 different opinions on Elvis Presley.

First of all, I love his music to death. My favourite song would have to be "Return to Sender" because it's a song that has a story attached to it. I can listen to that song again and again. Elvis has such a great voice that it doesn't really matter what he sings, it will sound good no matter what. There is no song by Elvis Presley that I don't like.

Secondly, his movies (although bad) are one of my biggest guilty pleasures. Whenever there's a movie on TV starring Elvis, I get so excited. When I miss the first little bit of an Elvis movie, I get so upset that I basically think the world will end (then I realize they will re-air the movie in the next few hours or days and I get over it). My favourite Elvis movie would have to be King Creole. It is one of those movies that just emphasizes Elvis' "bad boy" look. None of the Elvis movies had the best plot, seeing as Elvis told people that he was basically playing the same role in each film.

Even though his star was fading towards the end, I think Elvis is one of the greatest things to happen in the history of Rock and Roll.

Notice

I have decided I am only going to give a rating for movies that I really love.

Also, I am planning on writing more detailed and fun entries including a summary of the movie (or TV show, or whatever), my favourite parts, and my least favourite parts.

Just thought I'd say that!

Where the Heart Is Review

Starring: Natalie Portman, James Frain, Ashley Judd, Stockard Channing

So I hadn't seen this movie since it first came out in 2000. It was on TV the other day, so I watched it and rekindled my love for it. I forgot how much I loved this movie.

A week earlier, I had been watching the first (and only) season of Invasion and whenever it would show Szura, I had the feeling I had been in love with him at some point in my life. It turns out I was right (and I think I already told this story)

This movie is just amazing!!
5/5

Taking Lives Review

Starring: Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawke

Talk about hotness. Angelina and Ethan? Not to mention Kiefer (even though he was tres hotter in the 1980's)

This movie was only good for one thing: the uber sex scene between Ethan and Angelina.

I don't even remember what this movie was about...it sucked. I'm not gonna lie.

Sixteen Candles Review

Starring: Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall

Another Brat Pack movie in these reviews. Woot.

In order for my parents not to forget my birthday, I remind them a month in advance and keep reminding them until the day before my birthday lol because I don't wanna end up like Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald) on her sixteenth birthday.

But on the other hand, she ended up with the hot guy from Mermaids...but she also gave her undies to a not-so-hot Anthony Michael Hall. He was way cuter in Weird Science.

I love this movie to death! Long Duck Dong is wicked awesome.

Shall We Dance Review

Starring: Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers

If you ever watch a movie from the 1930's, it's got to be a Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie...Heck Yes.

Although this is not my favourite from the two, it's pretty awesome. Also, most of their movies end up having the exact same plot anyway, but I love Fred Astaire to death.

Fred Astaire isn't the hottest, but he is sooooo amazing! And I love his shoes. I want a pair of those black and white dress shoes, I'm not even kidding...

Watch all 10 Astaire/Rogers movies and you will fall in love...I know I did.

Secret Window Review

Starring: Johnny Depp (my husband...I wish), Maria Bello, Timothy Hutton (drool), JOhn Turturro

Woot for Stephen King and Johnny Depp!

This movie wasn't the greatest, but it's definitely one of my favourite Stephen King movies...besides Stand By Me and Green Mile anyways.

Johnny Depp copied my hair in this movie...I dyed my hair that ugly blonde/yellow colour and when my brown roots grew out, I went to go see this movie and Johnny and I had the same hair...it was beautiful.

I love John Turturro. He's awesome as Emilio in Mr. Deeds lol

Rent Review

Starring: Anthony Rapp, Idina Menzel, Tracie Thoms, Rosario Dawson, Adam Pascal

So I first saw this movie at my 17th birthday with my friends. The music is awesome. The story is awesome. This movie is just plain awesome.

Mark (Anthony Rapp) is uber hot and I love him...but who doesn't?

I've had a crush on Anthony Rapp since I was like 7 when I saw him in Adventures in Babysitting. He was one of my first obsessions! Woot for obsessions!

This movie is so great and if you don't think so, you're dumb...that's that. And if you haven't seen it, see it!

A Nightmare On Elm Street Review

Starring: Heather Langenkamp, Johnny Depp, Robert Englund

Greatest horror movie ever made. Period.

Favourite scene: Johnny getting sucked into his bed and spit out, blood pouring everywhere. Awesome-a-riffic.

Freddy will come back again and again, but this installment of the franchise is definitely the greatest.

I don't really know what to say about this one. I'm done...I guess.

Napoleon Dynamite Review

Starring: Jon Heder

Napoleon Dynamite is the greatest movie of life...definitely. The dance scene is most people's favourite, along with the liger scene and the whole, it took me forever to shave your upper lip scene.

I can't explain how wonderful this movie is, but if you hate it, you're dumb and evil. Jon Heder is beautiful and Kip is wonderful. Uncle Rico is alright...well maybe not.

OMG just watch it and love it or else.

The Goonies Review

Starring: Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Joe Pantoliano

This movie is one of the greatest movies of life! Rumours about a sequel (with the same people) is making me hope it's definitely the truth!

Corey Feldman plays my favourite character, Mouth!! He has an uber dirty mind just like me! Woo Hoo!!

Sean Astin is annoying and stupid but I love him and Joe Pantoliano is so hot...with that toupee lol

I love the old lady. She's the most awesome crazy woman of life!

Prisneyland

Starring: Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, William Fichtner

Spoilers Ahead! The Season Finale has ended!

Michael, Mahone, Bellick, and T-Bag are all in Prison now! Kellerman was on his way to prison, but then he got killed. Bill Kim also got shot...by Sara (she is now my hero!), Sucre is dying...unfortunately, C-Note is nowhere to be seen and LINCOLN was EXONERATED! woot!

Season 3 begins August 29, 2007!! woohoo!!

Invasion

Starring: William Fichtner, Eddie Cibrian, Tyler Labine

Okay, so I just watched the first (and only) season of Invasion. I know right, what took me so long? Well my future husband, William Fichtner was the star so OBVIOUSLY I had to watch it!

I liked the show, although it was a little (extremely) far fetched. I was kind of (extremely) mad that it ended the way it did and I know that even if I watched it when it was on the air, it wouldn't have made a difference, but whatever.

I also fell in love...again. Szura was the hottest alien know to life. He walked hotly, he talked sexily (lol) and was just plain mean (in a hot way)

When I was watching the show and saw Szura, I had a feeling that I was madly in love with him before (Do you ever get that feeling?).

So a few days later, I watched the movie Where the Heart Is (which I haven't seen in sooooo long but when it first came out, I watched it a zillion times) and I heard his voice (minus the Britishness) and I started yelling "Forney! Forney! Szura is Forney!" and that's where I knew when I loved him lmao...I'm a dork.

Heroes

Starring: Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden Panettiere, Ali Larter

So apparently it's the biggest show in Canada. It's become extremely popular and I've seen so many icons and other fan art related to the show Heroes.

I can't believe they're making me wait until April 23rd to see the next episode! If Sylar dies, Michelle will be mad. Michelle smash!

Okay, I <3 Milo Ventimiglia and his emo bangs fell on the ground last episode...I was sad...okay not really but I loved his hair!

I doubt Peter will die, I mean, he is basically a sponge. He absorbs everyone's powers and he's already come in contact with Sylar before, so he's most likely gonna fight it...AND he's supposed to be the bomb that blows up.

And I'm uber mad at Isaac. He's such an idiot...but I didn't like Simone, so I'm glad she's dead. I don't like Claire's real mother either, she's a dirtbag skank.

Anywho, I just can't wait to watch the next episode

My Dream About Benicio Del Toro

I've decided to share a dream I had a few nights ago.

So this is what I remember:

-There was this old, white, abandoned house
-All of my friends were there with me
-Janette was making out with a certain someone that she wants to go to prom with
-Benicio Del Toro was there...shirtless
-I somehow became handcuffed to Benicio Del Toro
-I had to go into a washroom with Benicio Del Toro while he had to pee.

strange or what?

The Black Donnellys

Starring: Jonathan Tucker, Keith Knobbs, Billy Lush, Peter Greene

So I've decided to show off something other than movie reviews lol (even though they shouldn't even be called that seeing as I never really review anything, I just say who's hot and who's not)

Anywho, I don't know why I'm talking about the Black Donnellys because it's pretty certain that the show has been canceled. The Monday that just passed was the last episode to be aired.

They shouldn't of canceled it because...

One - I loved that show
Two - There were hot boys in that show
Three - I've been having strange dreams about the show as well as talking in my sleep, asking my mum to give me $13000 to save Jenny's restaurant...devoted or what?

But either way, it's canceled and apparently I can't do anything about it. Stupid ratings. 5.4 million viewers is apparently not enough to save a TV Show.

Maybe NBC shouldn't post everything that will happen in the show on the net and the ratings just might go up...IDIOTS!

/rant

I just can't wait until Heroes returns...April 23!!

What's Eating Gilbert Grape? Review

Starring: Johnny Depp, Juliette Lewis

So I've seen this movie like 100 times. Well not quite...but close. Johnny's hair in this movie is definitely my favourite of all his movies. ALL of THEM!!

I liked Crispin Glover the most...well besides Johnny.

I know this will sound mean, but I have to say it. Arnie just made me want to punch him in the face. I mean honestly IF YOU'RE GONNA CLIMB ANYTHING THAT TALL, YOU'RE GONNA EFFING DIE!! GET IT? OBVIOUSLY NOT. And honestly, go wash yourself! Even 6 year olds can wash themselves. Does Johnny have to do everything around there? Apparently so.

At least Johnny was super hot in this movie...and if that crazy lady ever touches him again, I'm gonna rip her lips off...yes I am.

50 First Dates Review

Starring: Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, Rob Schneider

This movie is definitely one of my favourite Adam Sandler movies. It's probably because Drew is in it. I guess that's why Wedding Singer is one of my favourites too.

Anywho, haha Egg-head Adam Sandler. He comes up with the weirdest stories. OMG Ten Second Tom is definitely my favourite character! Well, besides Ula. The mop and coconut bra does it for me lol

This movie is just really fun to watch, although most of Sandler's movies suck. I'm more of a Will Ferrell//Ben Stiller kind of person. Zoolander, Anchorman, and Dodge Ball kick any Adam Sandler movie's butt...big time.

We Will. We Will. Rock You. Ssssssssss. lmao
